The frame is your own - not the horses to make.

As a Horse rider, horse driver or horse handler our role is well defined. We must know what we want & what the horse can achieve. Then we must provide clear, concise, consistently repeatable aids to the horse to allow them to achieve & then learn the correct response in the shortest period of time, each time we ask. There is nothing 'natural' about a human riding, driving, or handling a horse. So therefore we much make the RIGHT response, easily achievable, time & time again. This is compassionate training. We might not be able to 'define’ nature, but we can set it up for success by working with it, to achieve the outcomes that are beneficial for all..... through mutualism. Our expectations are not our horse's burdens to meet, only our responsibility to prepare them to succeed at. Clear is kind. Clear is compassionate. We don’t, as trainers put our horses into a ‘frame’, we are the frame, that provides the shape that our horses can thrive within.
